Who we are

FOCAL is the trade name of Focal Agency LLC, a California limited liability company. We operate this site (getyourweekback.com) and focal-agency.com. You can reach us any time at info@focal-agency.com.

This policy explains what we collect when you use our sites or contact us, what we do with it, and what we will never do with it.

What we collect

What you give us. When you request a Checkup or fill out any other form here, you give us your name, company, email address, phone number, and what you tell us about your business. If you email or call us, we keep that correspondence.

What your browser gives us. Standard technical data: IP address, browser and device type, referring page, and the pages you viewed. We use Google Analytics 4 for this. It relies on cookies and similar technology.

We do not collect payment card numbers, Social Security numbers, or any special category of sensitive personal information through this site.

How we use it

To reply to you, to schedule and hold your Checkup, to deliver and support the work we do together, to keep the site working and secure, and to understand in aggregate which pages are useful. That is the whole list.

Text messages and your consent

You can ask us to text you by checking the SMS consent box on the Checkup form. That box is always optional and never pre-checked. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of buying anything from us, and if you leave it unchecked we will simply use email or the phone instead.

If you do opt in, we may text you about your Checkup, scheduling, and your account. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for help. You can also email us and we will remove your number.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories of information exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

The one exception is the licensed messaging provider that actually delivers the texts on our behalf. They may only process your number to send the messages you asked for, and they may not use it for anything else.

Who else sees your information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not rent or trade it. We share it only with the service providers who make the business run, and only so they can do their job for us:

• Netlify, which hosts this site and receives form submissions.
• Google Analytics, for aggregate site measurement.
• Our email, calendar, and CRM providers, so we can reply and schedule.
• Our messaging provider, for SMS only, and only if you opted in.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, safety, or property. If the business is ever sold or merged, your information may transfer with it, subject to this policy.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses cookies for basic function and for Google Analytics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.

How long we keep it

Form submissions and correspondence are kept as long as we have an active or reasonably foreseeable relationship with you, and after that only as long as we need them for legal, tax, or record-keeping reasons. Records of SMS consent and opt-out are kept for as long as the law requires us to be able to prove them.

Your choices and your rights

Email info@focal-agency.com and ask us to show you what we hold on you, correct it, or delete it, and we will. Every marketing email we send has an unsubscribe link. Every text has STOP.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request deletion or correction, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of it. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA. Make any of these requests at the email address above.

Security

We use reputable providers, encrypted connections, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise, but we take this seriously.

Children

This site and our services are for businesses. They are not directed to anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged on the page.
